Aligner Tracker Privacy Policy

Information stored on your device

Aligner Tracker stores treatment setup, tray information, IN and OUT timestamps, corrections, treatment history, calculated statistics, and reminder settings in the app's SQLite database on your iPhone. This information remains local to the app in version 1.0.

Notifications

Reminder notifications are scheduled locally on your iPhone. The core app does not send reminder content to a remote push-notification service. Apple controls notification permission and delivery through iOS and your device settings.

Sharing progress

Share Progress is initiated by you. Aligner Tracker prepares the information on your device and presents the iOS share sheet. The information is sent only to the person, service, or destination you select, subject to that destination's privacy practices.

Accounts, purchases, and cloud services

Core tracking in version 1.0 does not require an account or sign-in. Cloud Backup, paid access, and purchase support are disabled in the production app. AlecBytes does not remotely back up your treatment records through Aligner Tracker version 1.0.

Advertising and analytics

Aligner Tracker version 1.0 does not use advertising or analytics services. The app does not include tracking pixels and does not use treatment records for advertising.

Support email

If you email support@alecbytes.com, the support mailbox receives your email address, message, and anything else you choose to include. Please do not send sensitive health information.

Support messages are kept only as long as reasonably needed to respond, troubleshoot, satisfy legal obligations, and maintain reasonable support records. Resetting the app does not delete an email you already sent. You may contact us to request deletion of a support message; the request will be honored when retention is not legally required.

This website

AlecBytes does not add analytics, advertising, cookies, tracking pixels, or third-party embeds to this website. GitHub Pages hosts the site and may process ordinary connection and security log information, such as an IP address and browser request details, to deliver and protect the service.

Deleting local app data

You can use Reset App inside Aligner Tracker to delete the local treatment data you created, after confirming the action. The deletion cannot be undone. This affects data on the device; it does not delete support email previously sent to AlecBytes.

Children

Aligner Tracker is a general-audience utility and is not specifically directed to children. AlecBytes does not knowingly collect children's personal information through the app. A parent or guardian should supervise a child's use as appropriate, and treatment decisions should always come from a qualified clinician.

Changes to this policy

This policy may be updated when the app's features or information practices change. The effective and last-updated date at the top of this page will identify the current version.
